Carissa is one of those people who's just on top of everything-- from the onset, she was very clear and precise about the details of her wedding, you'd think she'd be the type to obsess over the littlest things on her wedding day. But ohmygod-- what a joy. Carissa is so loving and nurturing. She was ever so thoughtful and kind, and so genuinely excited for people around her: she never failed to give sincere compliments to each person in her bridal party, her family and guests. When things didn't necessarily go as scheduled, she had the grace and sense of humor to remember what was important, and that was to have a good time.
She was a sight to behold. As was Kurt. Ah, what a beautiful couple. What a beautiful love story. What a beautiful setting. What a beautiful wedding! The toasts were delivered so flawlessly by the Best Man and Matron of Honor. It was just perfect. I think I cried once or twice!
This highlights piece was edited overnight (we were going to surprise the couple with it at 6am the next morning, but they'd already left for the airport!)-- I was running on inspiration since I used a Guillemots song that I've been dying to use and I think it works :) What I love about this video is that it shows you that their wedding was all at once emotional and overwhelming, and yet light-hearted and happy, even funny.
Kurt and Carissa, hope you like it! Enjoy:

I cannot say enough about Leyda and Rob- the entire day I felt like I was surrounded by friends, and they just were so happy to be there with us...their work speaks for itself, but they are so behind the scenes. I was very rarely aware of them, and some of the shots they got surprise me because I would have thought I would be aware!
Working with them as a bride, getting ready and letting them know what we were looking for was met with support only- their vision blends with ours rather than us feeling like we have no say.
I just feel so lucky that our kids and grandkids will see this work as a representation of our day- they reflect how we feel about each other, and a guest's camera would not have done that. We weren't originally going to do a film, and this is the thing I am most happy we did.
Anyone can feel free to contact us with any questions about working with these two- Thank you Leyda and Rob!!!!

I do makeup for weddings every weekend,so I see a lot of brides and videographers. This wedding I had the pleasure of working with two of my favorites! I adore Carissa and I am so happy that Leyda and Rob captured her spirit in the video. Leyda & Rob are a joy to work with and it is easy to fall in love with them because they are so open, genuine and funny. They are rare because they really listen to you when you speak and they make a huge effort to understand what you are saying. Their work shows how much they care for each couple and how they really individualize each video according to the couple's personality. I was crying from the get go with the brillant editing which had the voice over of Aunt Sharon's incredible speech. I am thrilled to be a part of this event.

I've watched this video a dozen times and cried at each viewing. Leyda and Rob were wonderful, never in our faces, always polite and responsive. And talented! They really captured the spirit of the day in a romantic, loving, fun, and happy way. I have to admit, like Carissa, I didn't think a film was too important, but Leyda and Rob's work proved me wrong. They've already given us so much pleasure through their work, I can't wait for the complete film. Thank you very much.

I've known Carissa for a few years now, but have never had the pleasure of meeting Kurt in person, and yet, watching this video allowed me a view into something beautiful... it captured their personalities; their love for one another and their true spirits. I loved watching you two - what an awesome union. May God Bless Your Marriage!
